These were two Igorot men engaged in a mock battle at the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition in Seattle, Washington in 1909. An Igorot village was recreated inside exposition grounds. The builders even recreated a "dap-ay" (see background).
Aside from performing normal village activities like meal preparation and cooking, the Igorots were also asked to reenact tribal conflicts. Thus the mock battle you see in the photo.
Records also show that real spears, wooden shields, and battle axes were brought by the Igorots. The two men in the photo were fully dressed for war. The man on the right is holding a shield and a battle ax. The man on the left has a shield and a spear. He also seems to have a battle ax tucked to his "bahag".
