The Puhuaea sequax Plant (Camp John Hay, Baguio City)

This is the 𝙋𝙪𝙝𝙪𝙖𝙚𝙖 𝙨𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙭 plant which many of us Kankana-eys call "puket or pullet". The Ilocanos call it "pakpaket". The Tagalogs call it "dikit-dikit".

It's a species of flowering shrub belonging to the legume family.

The seeds/pods bring back childhood memories especially to those who grew up in the provinces where these plants are abundant. For fun and mischief or just as a prank, you gather these seeds/pods and launch them on someone's clothes. They can be difficult to remove from your clothes (especially the dry seeds/pods).

Some cultures use this plant as an herb and medicinal plant.
