The Independent Commission on Infrastructure (ICI) Won't Livestream Their Hearings?

The announcement by the Independent Commission on Infrastructure (ICI) that their hearings on anomalous flood control projects won't be livestreamed and won't be made public is a disservice to the Filipino people. The commission is basically saying that things will be done behind closed doors. 

This is not transparency. When things are done behind closed doors, the Filipino people are right in questioning the commission's credibility. Is the commission trying to control the proceedings and the narrative? Is the commission trying to protect certain people? 

Congress publicized their hearings. The Senate also publicized their hearings. These open and public hearings gave the Filipino people what they deserved: TRANSPARENCY.

Why can't the ICI do the same?
