Toploading used to be a tourist attraction in itself especially for hikers coming here to climb mountains. When hikers arrive here in Baguio City, they would hire monster jeeps to ferry them to their destination mountain. Mt Kabunian in Bakun or Mt. Pulag in Kabayan or Mt. Ugo in Itogon, etc.
Toploading to these mountain destinations was part of their experience. This is no longer the norm these days. Organizers and coordinators now use vans for transportation.
