Jean Claude Saclag of Team Lakay won in an impressive fashion in his ONE Championship debut at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The 29-year-old from Lubuagan, Kalinga (with roots from Kapangan, Benguet) imposed his will on Lee Jun Young of South Korea on the opening round. Saclag put Young on the mat and followed it up with a barrage of punches forcing the referee to end the bout.
Saclag, who fights with "The Dynamite" as a nickname, was awarded with a technical knockout victory. With the impressive win, Saclag is a name to watch out for in the promotion's flyweight division.
Prior to transitioning to mixed martial arts, Saclag competed here and abroad as a wushu and kickboxing athlete.
