In the evening of January 30, three armed men - Sabath Agsayang Balayang, Michael Patagui and Wilner Ventura - barged into a rented house in Kabugao, Apayao then raped two teachers and harassed three other people. According to reports, two students and a teacher went to the rented house to visit the two teachers residing there. When they were about to leave at about 9 in the evening, three armed men barged into the house and raped the two teachers.
The teachers and students haven't been named for security purposes.
When the suspects fled the house, they carted away valuables amounting to almost Php100,000. These include laptops, cellphones, a wrist watch, a digital camera, and a couple of wedding rings.
One of the suspects, Wilner Ventura, has surrendered to the police which led to the identification of the other two suspects.
