What to Expect From the Upcoming Baguio Komikon 2014: Eksena ng Komiks Event

Come February 8, 2014 (that's a Saturday), comic book enthusiasts are expected to converge at the BBCCC building along Assumption road for this year's staging of the Baguio Komikon. Dubbed Eksena ng Komiks, the event will open at 10 in the morning and closes at 5 in the afternoon. Entrance fee is Php35 per person only.

The event will feature booths from several exhibitors. These include UP Grail - Graphic Arts in Literature, IKOS Komiks - A World of Myths and Legends, 502 Komiks, Liga Ni Likeman, Mekanikal Kawayan, and Lakan at Makisig.

Five special guests are also expected to attend. They are Carlo Vergara (One Night in Purgatory, Captain Blood, Mysteries of Udolpho), JP Palabon (Blak Ninja, Puso Negro: Teaching Good Values Through Bad Conduct), Michael David (Kubori Kikiam), Mark Rosario (My Wife is Pregnant), and Randy Valiente (Army of Darkness, My Midnight).

There are also two contests which participants in the event can join. There's the Quantom Q-Plushes Comic Strip contest and the What's In Your Barrel, Man?! contest.

Eksena ng Komiks will be held at the BBCCC building along Assumption Road. The building is very near the University of Baguio and Saint Louis University. It's just a few meters away from the main gate of UB. For more information about the event, visit their website at komikonbaguio.com.
