The network of roads in the Cordillera region is considered as the most dangerous in the country. The region has the highest number of annual fatalities from road accidents in the country. Most of the accidents are due to vehicles malfunctioning and then falling off steep mountain slopes. Needless to say, to our drivers out there, always drive safely. And yes, don't drink and drive.
