Main Suspect In The Murder Of A Boy In Bontoc Named By The Bontoc Municipal Police

Justice for the senseless murder of a 13-year-old boy in the town of Bontoc in Mt. Province is a step closer to being attained after the town's police force named a primary suspect. It can be recalled that on April 10, 2015, the lifeless body of Bryden John Faniswa Crisostomo was found in the second floor of a building in Bontoc Ili. The boy, who just recently graduated from Grade 6, was found with multiple stab wounds on his body.

The man believed by the police to have committed the crime is Saldy Alinung Dalug, a 21-year-old laborer from Basao, Tinglayan, Kalinga. According to Police Senior Inspector Richard Soliven of the Bontoc Municipal Police Station, Dalug was linked to the crime by four witnesses who voluntarily provided statements to the police.

A murder charge will be filed against Dalug who is still at large. The police and the victim's family are calling on Dalug to surrender and face the accusations lodged against him. Surrendering will also give him the chance to prove his innocence, in the event that he denies the accusations.
