A lot of Cordillera-based pages and content creators are using AI apps and programs to create content not just for images but for articles as well. The problem is they often don't bother verifying if the information they post are accurate. So they end up spreading information that are misleading, mythical, or just plain falsehoods.
This is worrisome especially for content about Igorot/Cordillera history, culture, and heritage.
I'm not against the usage of AI. It's a very helpful tool if used properly. For example, it's a great place to start your research about a specific topic. It can point you to the right directions.
The problem with the AI content on Igorot/Cordillera history and culture that I see being posted online is that these are often sensationalized and usually accompanied by inaccurate images and videos.
It seems to me that their aim is not to present facts about our history and heritage. Because if this is your goal, you'd do more than just rely on what an AI app throws at you.
